- Whisk together eggs, heavy cream (if using), salt, and pepper in a small bowl until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and tilt the pan to spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the eggs while still slightly wet, then let cook until the bottom is set and the top is almost cooked through.
- Place the crispy bacon slices in the center of the omelette, then carefully roll or fold it into a wrap shape using a spatula.
- Cook for another minute to seal, then transfer to a plate. Slice in half if desired and serve warm.
Notes
You can add spinach, avocado, or tomato slices for extra flavor. Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack for a spicy twist.
