Method
 

  1. Whisk together eggs, heavy cream (if using), salt, and pepper in a small bowl until smooth and slightly frothy.
  2. Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and tilt the pan to spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the eggs while still slightly wet, then let cook until the bottom is set and the top is almost cooked through.
  4. Place the crispy bacon slices in the center of the omelette, then carefully roll or fold it into a wrap shape using a spatula.
  5. Cook for another minute to seal, then transfer to a plate. Slice in half if desired and serve warm.

Notes

You can add spinach, avocado, or tomato slices for extra flavor. Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack for a spicy twist.
