Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the cooked sausage evenly into the baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese and all of the mozzarella.
- Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and cheese layer. Top with remaining cheddar and chopped green onions.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and golden on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
